About us

Children with Disabilities & UN right Conventions is a partnership based project funded by NOREC (Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation). The partners are Molde University College (coordinating partner), Patandi Teachers College of special needs education in Tanzania, Western Norway University of applied science and the Open University of Tanzania. The overall aim of the project is to improve the life quality of children with disabilities in Tanzania and Norway, through practical implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the UN  Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The project work force consist of students and staff from the partner organisations and staff from practice partner organisations, all involved in exchange and follow-up work

The first exchange round in this mutual exchange project started with students from Norway going to Tanzania 1. of January, 2023 for three months exchange. In September 2023 students and staff from Tanzania will go to Norway on exchange for three months. This blog will publish various posts from students and staff who are participants in this four-partner NOREC project.  For all photos of children and adults used on this blog, permission for publication has been obtained.
